On October 24, the OPPO Find X8 series—one of the first to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset—is scheduled to debut in China. Following the announcement that the flagship would include a new “Camera” button, the company released an official video clip showcasing the new button in use. There is a pressure-sensitive region on the phone’s right edge.
Prior to the unveiling, the official renderings of the OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro were leaked online. This displays the phones’ whole design as well as available colors. This implies that the OPPO Find X8 Pro will be the only device to have the much-discussed camera control button. The Global Certification Forum has approved the OPPO Find X8 Pro standard model.

The OPPO Find X8 series will have a new shutter button that works similarly to the iPhone 16’s new Camera Control feature from Apple.
A video demonstrating the new pressure-sensitive camera shutter button in operation was posted on Weibo by Zhou Yibao of OPPO.
By double-tapping the new camera shutter button and pressing it again, users may quickly launch the camera and capture a picture.
The button may be swiveled to zoom in or out.
As previously mentioned, the right side of the phone has a pressure-sensitive region that works as intended.
Moreover, OPPO emphasizes that the shutter feature is functional underwater.
OPPO Find X8 series renders leaked
Thanks to leaker Evan Blass, the OPPO Find X8 and X8 Pro renderings have surfaced online ahead of its introduction later this month.
First off, there will be four color options for the OPPO Find X8: pink, white, blue, and black.
The OPPO Find X8 Pro, meanwhile, will come in blue, white, and black hues.
The designs of the OPPO Find X8 and X8 Pro are almost the same. We observe thin bezels with flat corners and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera in the center.
The Find X8 series, like the majority of recent iPhones, has a boxy design with rounded corners for a comfortable grip.
The rear panel has a spherical module that contains up to four camera sensors. The center of the module is branded with the name “Hasselblad.” The circular ring is not surrounded by the LED flash.
The power button and volume rocker are located on the right edge, while an alert slider is located on the left. The “camera button” is located on the right spine of the Pro model.
At the bottom are the SIM tray area, speaker grill, and USB Type-C connector. At the top are a microphone, an IR blaster, and a speaker.
91mobiles reported seeing an OPPO flagship on the Global Certification Forum. The model number CPH2659 indicates that the phone may be the OPPO Find X8 Pro, which is confirmed by this.
