Apple Is Expected To Release Apple Smart Glasses In 2027 To Use Visual Intelligence To Combat Cancer

As mentioned in his most recent Power On email, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is expanding on his February story by stating that Apple is creating new wearable devices and that Apple smart glasses and camera-equipped AirPods may be available for purchase as early as 2027.

Apple’s frames are anticipated to have built-in cameras meant to function with its impending Visual Intelligence technology, which is scheduled to make its debut on the iPhone 16 series in the near future. These glasses are rumored to be a direct competitor to the well-liked Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.

The Visual Intelligence feature, which is essentially Apple’s version of Google Lens, will be used to scan locations and objects and provide users with fast access to information about their surroundings. An owner of an iPhone 16 may, for example, read a restaurant’s menu and user ratings using the device’s camera.

According to reputable Apple insider Gurman, the Cupertino business wants to “salvage the billions of dollars spent on the Vision Pro’s visual intelligence technology, which can scan the environment around a user and supply useful data.”

Theoretically, Apple smart glasses represent the next natural development in this technology, enabling users to simply point and click to get further information about any object. The user would then presumably see the information on their iPhone screen or hear a spoken answer through their AirPods.

However, Gurman has previously said that the anticipated device “would give consumers many of the benefits of smart glasses without needing lenses and frames.” It’s difficult to predict how AirPods with cameras may help the typical user.

Of course, if Gurman’s allegation is accurate, these goods won’t be available for purchase for a few years. Instead, we’ll have to make do with the Apple Intelligence capabilities, which are anticipated to be included in iOS 18.2 in December.
